My Tutoring & Teaching Experience
I began tutoring in 2010 and have been tutoring with Wentworth Tutors for over a year. I am experienced in preparing students for American examinations and I also very much enjoy tutoring subjects related to Maths, Reasoning and the Sciences.
I have spent time volunteering as an assistant teacher at a primary school in Canterbury, providing one-on-one reading tuition for children falling behind the expected reading ability level of their class group. I enjoy working with tutees who are under-performing and helping them to gain the confidence needed to tackle an exam.
My Approach to Tutoring
My aim is to help tutees achieve their goals.
Where appropriate, and particularly in the context of exams, I am results-focused -- please click here to see the improvements in one of my recent SAT tutees' test scores. While I take a rigorous approach to exam preparation, I also aim to make tutoring sessions enjoyable and to instill a sense of confidence in my tutees -- particularly when working with tutees who may be in need of an academic confidence boost.
Fun Facts About Me
I love playing squash, and I'm also keen on cross-country running and playing the piano.
