To be able to write well is perhaps the single most important skill a student can acquire. Alongside our subject-specific teaching we provide a great deal of focused essay writing tuition to pupils of all ages.

Essay Writing Tutoring

Good writing is sometimes regarded as a natural talent which certain people possess, and others do not. This misconception can lead to some anxiety around academic and creative writing, with many children becoming unsure of their written work at a young age. Our tutors are, of course, excellent guides for touching up small problems of grammar and style but they are also specialists when it comes to developing the confidence of uncertain writers.

Our method is based on a shared process of reading and writing work by both tutor and pupil. Often students are undone by their desire for complexity at the expense of clarity and precision. It is, therefore, immensely helpful for them to see how academics, lawyers and journalists express difficult ideas in simple language. This is where the first-rate education and career paths of our tutors really shine through.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with classroom teaching experience, who is genuinely passionate about History and its relevance today. I graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford in 2017 after having studied History.
