My Tutoring & Teaching Experience

I have been privately teaching students aged from 10-18 years old since 2005 with exceptional results in subjects including common entrance exams, Maths, foreign languages, and UK and US university preparation and admittance. I have taught subjects in the English (GCSE, A-level), French (Baccalauréat) and Greek (Apolytirion) educational systems, as well as SAT, IELTS and English for non-native speaker exams. I have also taught students from Hong Kong, Russia and Cyprus. My previous students have been accepted to study a variety of subjects at top universities from across the world: Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Russian at the University of Oxford, acceptance into Stanford and Columbia Universities in the U.S.A.

My Approach to Tutoring

I am a very patient and flexible tutor who believes each student has their own specific needs and approaches when it comes to learning. No single approach to teaching works for all students and I spend time adapting lessons to best help the student achieve his or her educational goals. I believe in concentrating on the strengths of each student and calmly working through, and explaining, the difficulties they come across in their work.

Fun Facts About Me

I have set up successful educational programmes in Russian orphanages for children who were deemed 'unteachable' by the state and local authorities. In non-educational spheres, I enjoy cooking and am looking at opening my own Greek patisserie in London very soon.
