My Tutoring & Teaching Experience

I have been teaching students since 2008, where I began helping GSCE and A-level students at my local college. Since then, throughout both my times at university, I have tutored extensively. My primarily focus is A-level and GCSE science students, mostly Chemistry and Physics. I've also taught Biology and Maths, including the IB specification and pre-GSCE work including Common Entrance. I have also taught SSAT, ISEE, and SAT, also helping students struggling in Maths build up their confidence and skills.

My Approach to Tutoring

My approach to tutoring is always to tackle fundamentals first, with the aim of developing confidence and basic skills. I have a friendly and approachable style to my teaching, as I feel a key aim of private tuition v.s. classroom teaching is a more relaxed environment in which the student should feel empowered to as many questions as they need and approach lessons as a discussion not a lecture.

Fun Facts About Me

In addition to studying medicine, I'm a keen musician, playing both clarinet and guitar to Grade 8 standard. I also enjoy racquet sports and table tennis.
