I recently graduated from Oxford University with a first class degree in chemistry and am currently in the process of taking a year out to pursue creative interests. After this year I will begin working towards a career as a teacher, starting by undertaking a postgraduate qualification known as a PGCE.

I have a strong understanding of what examiners expect and how one achieves the highest grades. My time at Oxford in particular gave me good insight into what university professors are looking for in the interview process.

My Tutoring & Teaching Experience

Throughout my life, I have been involved in a plethora of educational activities. These range from teaching piano to children during my time at secondary school to teaching entire classes of GCSE level students while working for Oxford Royale Academy, a highly regarded summer school that takes on teenagers from all over the world.

My Approach to Tutoring

Whilst growing up, I have often been commended on my ability to explain things clearly and simply to my peers, as well as to younger children. I think it requires a very particular skill to be able to first understand the level of knowledge you are dealing with and then to tailor your explanation to each unique individual.

Fun Facts About Me

I have played the saxophone and piano from a young age and recently learnt the bagpipes. I also record and produce my own music. My love for the creative process has driven me into a number of unique situations over the years and I am constantly looking for new inspiration and original ideas.
