Daniela Raffel - Private Tutor in Central London and North London

Daniela Raffel Private Tutor in Central London and North London

I spent the first 18 years of my education in the English school system before hopping over the pond to give something quite different a go. Four years at an American university (with a brief exchange at the University of Hong Kong) has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made - so much so that I’d like to do everything I can to help others experience a liberal arts education.

My Education & Qualifications

  • Princeton University , 20122016
    Economics (AB): Cum Laude
  • School: Godolphin and Latymer
Godolphin is an independent day school in West London for girls ages 11-18. I graduated in 2011 with 45/45 points in the IB and 13 A* at GCSE. I was also in the first VII netball team and co-lead the social services committee organising fundraising events across the school year.

My Approach to Tutoring

I’ve always been a visual and an active learner - the best way to learn something is to just get out there and give it a go! I like to bring that principle to my students - you wont always get it right first time but that in itself is part of the learning process and is a positive thing. A tutor provide the guidance and support for a student to let them learn in a positive way and enjoy doing so at the same time. As soon as learning becomes enjoyable, it’s much easier to reach your goals.

Fun Facts About Me

To counteract long office days sat in front of a screen I like to spend as much time as possible outside, whether that be walking through cities, hiking up mountains, or skiing down slopes. On lazier days there’s nothing better than a good book.
